I see no Quake 4 related threads in the search, so I start this one. I bough the game Saturday and finished it Sunday afternoon. This is a bit short for me. What's your thoughts on the game. Personally I liked the Data Storage tower level the most, where you take the lift down and walk around in the dark, with the dusty looking air and wondering where all the strogg are. That was very tense.

The zombies are cool too, I saw the first one crawling out of the barrel, and thought I should help the dude as he wasn't attacking or anything. The numbnut then starts kotching at me, that's when he met mister shotgun.

What a nostalgic game! I loved Quake 2 to an insane amount and personally felt Quake 3 was a bit of a crock. Quake2 with the Doom3 engine really is nothing short of perfect. Although it was really short and has next to nothing replay value, it feels less repetitive than cutting down hordes of enemies would normally be. Also, the multiplayer sucks, but that's where Quakewars comes in.
An instant classic, I'de say.

It's ok - not as good as I had hoped but not bad either. I would give it about 70%.

I to loved Quake 2 but there is just one problem with it. The AI sucks. You run circles around them.

I played with my 9000 Pro II / 512MB ram and it was green too.
So I rather finished it on my friends 6600GT / 1024MB system.
The zombie part was nice and I couldn't help but to think of Doom III in some places...It is a whole lot lighter..thank goodness for that!
EDIT: Quake 2 maps - The Edge and Tokey's Towers. My fav!
Quake 3: My fav multiplaying FPS of all times. map - "The longest Yard"

Yes there are, I got the Stupid angry bot and installed it, You are supposed to spawn the bot with "addbot bo_sabot" but it just says no such command.

There are no default bots in Quake 4. You'll have to download a 3rd party file. You can google it.
It's popular and it should be easily available.
Quake 4 IS better than Doom 3, I enjoyed the game tons. There's a lot of Action and fast pace, but it tends to get slightly repetitive at the end. It's awesome though.

Found the problem, I didn't check "Server side mods" in the options. It works, but I noticed that the Stupid Angry Bot, wich was on the cover DVD is really not that stupid.
