He recieved a harsh comment (whether true or not it doesn't matter) and he obviously wanted to see her art to see if she was giving an honest opinion, or just spouting crap like some of you. He wasn't competing with her.

I feel so honoured.
This is also what is irritating some of the members. New users just go and dis some of the older more respected members without knowing what they are capable of. This is a prime example.
Ever hear of 'The Emperor's New Clothes" where nobody said anything bad about them because if they did they feared they'd be banned from civil society?

That you have fun is the most important thing......Art is such an individual taste...some people here seem to think that when they sit down the room goes dark and that their opinion is the only one that matters, so please don't take their words to much to heart. I love it when a person expresses their individuality and don't follow like sheep......I can't draw to save my life but my brother is an artist, tho some of the 'professionals' may scoff at his work. A true professional will never put someone else down but offer constructive criticism instead.

No offense chez, but some of those seriously look like copy\paste repro's with a bit of touch-up's around the edges to claim it as "own work".

I can assure you that they are all original and his own work. Walk into any Billabong Shop in S.A and you'll see the same style on the walls and ceilings. He starts from scratch and it's all airbrushed. Why are you guys so quick to accuse people of copying other peoples work? If you've seen anything similar then someone has copied his work. He's been doing this for 25 years! The Billabong shop in Cresta is his work, all of them are. I was there when the shop was 4 blank walls and I watched him create it. what the hell is wrong with you....do you hate the fact that someone has a talent that you don't so you automatically assume that it's copied??
All the Billabong S.A and Country Feeling clothes that you see...all the artwork on those clothes is his as well.

The prices those paintings go for! But I suppose they are that damn good.
I would like to buy one of them which is going for R4100+, but don't have that cash laying around at the moment.
