Ok people, I've updated the main page here.

I've shortened the list and hyperlinked everybody's nickname so that it leads straight to pm once clicked.

Plz report any errors / incorrect info.

PS. I didn't hyperlink mine since its at the bottom of the post...

Peace ;-)

Sorry bout double post. Wanted u guys to get notifications.

Anyway, I'm thinking of adding a skill ranking to the 1st page.
Just so that everyone know who to ask. Maybe I must even add another # to indicate the years of experience.

If ur an expert on C++, u'll get a 1 to ur name, eg, SoulBlade (1)
If ur still studying, u'll get the highest which cud be 5 or 10. I dunno

I think...
1 - expert
2 - ?
3 - ?
4 - ?
5 - student

What do u guys think and what else sud we have?

You should probably score me a 4 on everything I'm listed for, since I am quite rusty. I qualified back in 2002 and have not coded anything other than some very basic HTML in almost 3 years.

I started out with vb.net2003 in 2004, switched to vb.net2005. University taught me .Net basics, the networking stuff and multihreading I taught myself :P Feel good about my vb.net knowledge

First semester this year they told us c#2.0 is the new pink (gave us an expression evaluator to do using stacks) so I know c# aswell, but not as well as vb.net 2005

Did basic xhtml strict for a semester + stylesheets (very useful to have basic html base)

Asp.net isnt a language, but I'm busy with an application in asp.net c#2.0 +sql server 2005 and its just like winforms, only irritating to design a gui(buggy).

Playing around with c++ in the bloodshed IDE. :P

Oh and basic SQL + stored procedures.

Dabbled in VB6 a few years ago. Did a one year course at Futurekids.
Doing second year of Java in Advanced Computer Sudies at school. Not very good though. I am probably a 5 on both

I'm working as a Java programmer at the moment, so I'm pretty good at that.

Apart from that, I know my way around SQL and I've done some programming with C#, though not much... I'm trying to convince my boss to move away from Java to C# for future projects - that's right, I'm a Java developer who hates Java!

I'm also busy learning C++ at the moment, I've got the basics covered but not much else...

Never done any programming, just scanned through the C programming book. Seen the beginning, the body, the end, but never got to get deeper as I do not have the programming software.
If I want to start programming, where do I begin?
