Flash playback?

Post by butterfly »

How does one play a flash file (*.swf) on your PC, what software does one use?

My friend, Dragoneyes stumbled upon this one :)

Use Windows Media Player 9, its already on your system and you don't need to go looking for other software, and WMP9 is free...

Have not tested it with previous versions. Anyone with a previous version want to test it and give results here?

Yes Media Player 9 can open swf files, but so can Internet Explorer and other programs that have the required plug-in.

As far as I know these files are specifically designed to be view in a webpage. If one wants to view flash files elsewhere you can normally export to an exe file from the program that you designed it in.
