koolkat - just to clear a few things up - even though you may be able to manufacture a water
block in the way that you imagine i suggest that in the long run you would be better off just ordering one from overseas - the best way to do a waterblock would be to use a c&c milling machine to be able to get accurately cut channels that will not allow any inconsistencies in thickness for your channels plus the tech involved eg turbulence concept etc is very complicated when it comes to designing a shape for the waterblock. i know of some guys who have successfully made their own waterblocks and even one guy who now offers it commercially in australia but the effort that it takes to get a good end result is not practically viable here. even though a good waterblock is expensive it is well worth it because of the research and development that goes into the product plus the quality of the end product will definitely be superior to a home made effort. I can suggest that you visit pccasegear.com who even though they are based in australia will send you stuff to south africa and the silverprop cyclone is an extremely good example of a waterblock (if you are interested you can get a white water rapids waterblock which is also from australia and manufactured by the guy ive mentioned above - it is compatible with the athlon XP and intel p4 as well as the upcoming athlon 64 clawhammers with a mounting plate swop) also to perfectly mount whichever block you want to use you would need the motherboard to have the 4 mounting holes around the zif socket.

Due to the fact that watercooling is comparitively risky i would suggest sticking with aircooling unless you really want to watercool properly with equipment that is professionally designed for its purpose - just imagine a small leak could fry your motherboard or cpu or ram or even worse all of the above so id stick to the highest quality of components to do this

And someone above suggested the thermaltake setup, while overseas the aquarius is regarded as a mickey mouse setup mainly because comparitively quite aircooling would be 1/5th the price with better cooling results i would suggest that in south africa that it is as close as you can get to the real thing and that at a price around R1550-00 on the ultra-cool website it is close to what you would pay just for a good waterblock so is okay to play around with (if you are as bored as you say) i would consider it a bargain since you get :-
1) a waterblock + mounting hardware for that
2) a pump
3) a radiator with the fans
4) tubing
5) back up reciever a.k.a. a reservoir (reffered as a sump somewhere above)
6) relevant tubing and mounting hardware

so this kit is a good open-the-box and install solution but it is a bit weak in the performance department but looking at it´s price you have to expect a tradeoff somewhere and the advantage is that you can get it here

Know this is a bit of the topic but where can I buy a Aero7/ASB-V73. how much is this going to cost me, and is this sufficient for a 2800+?

When you install your "holy" water cooling system make sure that you do it right. I shudden to think what could happen to a PC if one of the pipes were to burst or leak!

LOL - thats why you use distilled or deionised water and when the tubing springs a leak - you just use new tubing - dry up all the stuff and put everything back on the next day - it will all work perfectly - you will probably have more computers failing due to chipped/cracked cores while installing heavy copper air coolers than improperly installed watercooling - ps things dont just spring a leak unless you are really bad with tools or have two left hands (in which case you shouldnt even be near a computer anyway) or you have defective stuff - which in 999 situations out of a thousand is highly unlikely and improbable
