It was on -the best case scenario- a guy was asking opinions for building a plexi case and they said it can look cheesy, accept for our above fish tankDAE_JA_VOO wrote:Ha! Awesome stuff! Where did you see that? Got some linkage?
I found Epiphany on a few Russian modding sites about a week ago. Pretty funny

Epiphany is lying in a hundred pieces all over my modding room at the moment
Rage was a BAD idea for my rig, as there were leaks and so on. There's even residue on my two 7800GTs. No problem though, all the hardware still works perfectly, i just need to rebuild
I plan to be done this week

I can't begin to tell you guys how i feel. I feel so disappointed and so frustrated at the same time.
I've mentioned for a while now that Epiphany had a leak somewhere. Last week i took it all apart and found leak marks on a few places in the case, but i couldn't find the leak. Well, tonight i checked the reservoirs...
BOTH barbs, on BOTH reservoirs look like that.
I have no idea what to do now. I have a few options:
1: Make new reservoirs
2: Buy new reservoirs:
3: Change the current reservoir design (2 round ones on top) to something else, like a swiftech microres inside somewhere
4: Eat sushi and cry
Not sure which i'm gonna go for but tomorrow some time i plan on doing number 4.
What do you guys think i should do?

Dude that suxors!!!!
But here's what you do: You build another res. BUT you make it so the res sits on top of the case and covering the whole top. Imagine a thin fish tank on top of your case with the pipes and stuff coming in the bottom. Use a clear epoxy to seal the barbs and the rest of the tank. The best of this is that you wont have to remove everything just to do this. Good idea yes?
Does your hardware still work?

Could you not perhaps make res's with steel or aluminium bottoms and perhaps clear on the top, so your taps dont fracture them?
Epiphany is the most awesome thing I have ever seen, it is truly a humbling experience to witness it here.
It is such an inspiration to see it, even with the latest bad news. It encourages me to review my case, to see what can be done beyond normal frames of thinking, slapping on kit, etc.
Dae, congratulations. Seeing this work of art is a privilege.
Or, instead of steel, maybe use a thicker plastic with a higher fault resistance and that is generally harder? Perhaps that will stop the cracks and leaks, as those res's looked schweet on the top there.

Thanks guys
@ Triatium: Thanks man! Such kind words!!!
@ Samaya: I haven't tested my hardware yet I will still though. I like your idea. While i was in the shower this morning i was planning how to build a new res (i seem to do a lot of mod planning in the shower ). I've got a pretty cool idea. Not exactly like yours, but i'll do some sketches later and show you
@ Triatium: That's a cool idea, but i don't think i'll like the look too much.
Ag i'll see how it goes. It's either gonna be the res idea i have, or a swifty res. I'll see...

I'm definitely keeping my eyes peeled for more of your projects!
Whatever you choose, I'm sure you'll make it look like a million bucks! At the end of the day, you need to satisfy the biggest critic, which is yourself.
Your links below your sig are ossum, btw. Only check them out now, glad I did.

I actually don't have anywhere to mod at the moment. I'm busy "upgrading/modding" my modding room. I'll post a quick log of that, maybe tonight. But as soon as that's done (shouldn't be longer than a few more days) i can carry on with EndorphinSlasher wrote:And when will Endorphin be receiving an update?DAE_JA_VOO wrote:Nope. It isn't.
