Watercooling Setups
Which setup should I choose between these two?
Evercool 202
http://www.cluboc.net/reviews/super_coo ... ol/wc_202/
Or
Thermaltake Bigwater SE
http://www.thermaltake.com/watercooling ... 005-01.htm
Or
Could I assemble a system for about a R1000 at
www.synapsys.co.za
PS. Please don't lock it as I would like to get some straight answers.
[Edit by neon : made thread a sticky (as per Dae_Ja_Voo's request) and moved to Cooling & Overclocking section.]

I know you get better water cooling system than Thermaltake sulotions but price vs preformance it was the best for me that time and I'm not regretting it at all.DAE_JA_VOO wrote:Throw the Thermaltake idea out the window, their water cooling products suck.
If i were you, i'd build a setup from Synapsys. That's what i'm doing too, except for the GPU blocks, i'm ordering them from DangerDen.
I have the big water solution and can't complain what so ever. Even PCF in their water cooling review moaned about setting it up but it gave the best preformance of them all.
I noticed you have something against thermaltake One my 9600xt I have been running their Vga cooler for about a year and half now with temp never going beyond 50 deg, and that's playing Doom 3 for about 3 hours and overdrive enabled.

My P4 2.4c runs at like 50 degrees on thermaltake water cooling, and my P4 2.4 Prescott runs at like 60 degrees on thermaltake water cooling. Stock cooling is better than that.
Yeah, i do have something againsts TT, the only things they make that are okay are their cases and some of their HSFs. Everything else is pretty crap. But that's my opinion.
I've never had one of those evercool setups. Read some reviews. But i still think you should go for building a setup from Synapsys.

A setup like this
CPU Cooler Antarctica DYO - CPU01/A 1/2-inch W-03-L-7551 R464.60 R529.65 Intel P4 S478; AMD Socket A S754/S940; 1/2-inch fittings (OD)
CoolWave Power Radiator - Dual 120mm GC-CW-240SC R437.72 R499.00 Takes two 120mm fans - full plenum chamber at each end; 316x139x45mm; 1/4-inch BSP thread for fittings
12V DC Pump - 1.2m Head, 10W GC-CW-750DW R218.42 R249.00 12V DC Pump - External Inline - 1.2m head, 10W, 94x75x102mm
CoolWave Acrylic Reservoir - 200ml GC-RV-200ACR R174.56 R199.00 Clear acrylic; 119mm tall, 50mm diameter; 1/4-inch BSP thread for fittings
Would cost R1500 +-
Wat else do I need?

I have a Northwood 2.8 clocked to 3.2 Ghz and Mine temps on extreme load is only +/- 55 deg. I do how ever have to say their thermalpaste is crap and only got these temps after usig artic silver.
The thing about water cooling is that it doesn't drop the temp drasticely but rather keeps it constant. By that I mean the temps doesn't rise by much when you put the cpu under heavy load.

Look, you need a pump, radiator, reservior, tubing, and the approptiate waterblocks.
Just keep in mind that the suggested radiator, the CoolWave Power Radiator, doesn't come with the fans. You'll need to buy them seperately. (Or does it come with fans?) Fans are cheap anyway, like R60 for 120mm.

@Goku: The thing is, why spend a bucket load of cash on water cooling if your temps are only gonna drop like 5 degrees? That's why i hate Thermaltake. My P4 temps were higher after installing the thermaltake watercooling.
I strongly suggest that you stay away froom TT. If you don't trust my opinion, ask MrBean, he knows more about watercooling than Thermaltake themselves! LOL!!

@monty: You don't have to replace the water in ANY watercooling setup. Here's a good guide to water cooling:

It all depends on where you put all the components in you machine. Just buy a meter more than you think you'll need, to be safe.
I personally don't see the point in buying expensive tubing from watercooling comanies if you can buy the same tubing from a hardware store or pet store.
