Speakers for SB Audigy 2

Post by Dakdriver »

Hi Guys. Just bought a Audigy 2 card from a friend. Have been using onboard sound up to now, and crappy speakers. Now looking for the best value for money 5.1 set around. Any ideas would be appreciated. Looking at not too much more than R800. Thanks

Logitech X-530 or Z-640 (discontinued but you might still get a set here or there) are the way forward, no contest. Should set you back +-R640...

Pitty the replacement X-530 don't compare to the discontinued Z-640.

Though I myself baught it it does not match the sound quality of my prior set.

Will get the Z-5500 later, can't afford it now.

The Logitech performace range is the Z-series.

X-series is mainstream, albeit best suitable at the price.

I have both the X530, and Z5500 set, and have to say that the X530's do this card justice.

Don't get me wrong, in terms of sheer power you cannot beat the 5500's, but it is overkill, for even the hardcore gamers you won't need more than the X530's

Just my observation ;)
