Forum moderators (a warning)

Post by Cameron_Losco »

This is just to serve as a reminder to all members of this forum that the moderators on this forum are to be respected. This doesn’t mean that you can't have disagreements with them, that is to be expected, but you need to have some level of respect for them.

I see that a number of users think that they can say whatever they want to the moderators on this site and that just isn’t acceptable. They (the moderators) spend a good portion of their day browsing this site trying to make it a place where everybody is welcome and users that make their lives difficult don’t help the situation in any way. To be honest I would rather have a handful of "good" people visiting this site rather than thousands of "difficult" users, so from here on you WILL respect our moderators or you will no longer be welcome here. I am not saying, and never will, that the moderators can never be wrong but they deserve respect. You don’t even have to like them! Think of them as the parents of this forum. We have all experience times when you just don’t get along with your parents but when it comes down to the crunch you wont ever treat them badly because you have respect for them.

If you ever have a problem with one of the moderators feel free to send me an email or PM explaining what the problem is and I will look into the situation.

Well put Cammy...

Some people should catch a wake-up, regarding their treatment of the mods :x

Who selected the mods? Are more required? How do you sign up? (I'm not interested, just wondering)

Actually, if memory serves me correct, Cameron put up a thread called "Moderators needed", or something like that. You guys applied to be moderators there. Sorry, you were not chosen.

Actually Arkonin, the first set of Mods were selected by the forum, and Cameron chose some of those that were nominated. From those, most of us are still here. After that the forum was asked to nominate themselves or others. Go read both the threads.
"Integrity" and "integer" both contain a Latin root meaning "whole; complete." The root sense, then, is that people may be said to be acting with integrity when their beliefs, words, and actions have a sense of unity or wholeness.

Guess I'm a prime suspect. I can just imagine how syncronos and yoda must *hate* me. (Lack of better word.) And I just happen to have this bad case of uncurable sarcasm. They say sarcasm is a cheap form of humor, but hay, I'm on a low budget. :-)

All said and done, no hard feelings. (From my side anyways).

@Sojourn - I don't hate you. Hate is a waste of emotion and energy. Things I'm not willing to waste on you. ;)

I said whats coming this way goes that way - in spanish, courtesy of dictionary.com - I cant speak a word of spanish.

I see Cam intro'd a new whip for the mods - gona be interresting to see who uses it and who abuses it... with power (however limited) comes responsibility. *Winky-wink* at some mods.

Wow, I hope going a little off topic doesnt make me a nuisance sometimes...

Can everybody see these markings, or is it just the mods, hence nobody knows of "the nuisance..."
