AS in Electro magnetic interference?
if thats what you mean then i do take the nesasary
precautions!

although i did shock my first gpu!

i guess it all happened due to overclocking, wear n tear!
i sed i have badluck in a sence that i dont really break it,it comes to me already broken

my 3ghz came with a factory fault it only lasted 8days b4 it bomd out

the gigabyte mobo broken cause the cpu fried and took the board and psu with it.

my flash was in my pc then the lights triped and the drive malfunctioned

the hdd just crashed for unknown reasons, you know how they can be!!

i can go on and on coz i have valid reasons why they broke.

i feel like the only person that these stupid things happen too.

junjun i was just kidding about Emi, what you're talking about is static, which is considered quite a danger to pc components. Just ground yourself before you touch anything by touching any metal object in direct contact with the ground.

Anyway you seem to jinxed dude, maybe a you should offer a sacrifice to our local PCF god thrall? lol.

Realistically though, you should take more precaution when overclocking! Some of the effects of OC are long term, like Heat exhaustion and electrical runoff etc. If you're OC'ing to high with improper settings or inadequate cooling etc, these problems could be due to this. Not saying that is, just take more precaution!

Cheers

Well im really pissed off. When cleaning a fan on my FX5500 the screwdriver slipped and scratched the chipboard. Now it doesn't work... Problem is I'm really low on cash ATM. I luckily have a board with onboard GFX, but I now wont be playing GTASA for a loooooong while...

:(

Rikkelz, isn't it under warranty? If the mark on the board is small then they might replace it for you. Since they wont be able to see the mark. Also how bad is the scratch? And what did it damage? If it did minor damage to the tracking on the board then you might be able to fix it with some electrically conductive paint.

Looks more like a chizel, rather than a srewdriver, did that damage.

I once accidently dropped a screwdriver while installing my gfx card, there was a small scratch on the mobo (not as bad as yours there). Luckily the scratch didn't run over anything important, so it still worked hundreds.

I feel your pain.

Well I never planned on returning it. I guess I'll be saving for a 6600... Maybe I should buy a cheap AGP card and 80 GB HDD and sell the PC and go for an LGA/AMD system... I feel terrible...

5. 6 pc cases
How do you break a PC chassis, unless you violently manhandle it? :eh:

EDIT: Oops... I suppose you could bugger a chassis up with a failed modding attempt
