aMule server.met problems

Post by AlphA »

Hi guys,

I've been running aMule on Linux for quite a long time now, and its been quite painless to use (once I got it up and running). Recently, when I try to connect to a server, I get a "No valid server.met file found" error. I will then download a new server.met file and copy it to /home/USERNAME/.aMule , but I will still get the same error. If I try to update the list from a valid URL, it works after like 10 tries or so. Once I have a server list, it connects fine and downloads without problems.

If I close aMule and reopen it, the same problem occurs.

Does anybody know why this is happening. Nothing has changed on the system for this to happen, it just started last weekend. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Don't know about the linux version but the .met files are sure tricky.

Maybe try :

1. Put "old style partial files" on
2. Enable Memory buffer files
3. Place on verbose mode
4. Connect to both networks
5. Lower minimum hdd space

Maybe try ask on their forums.
