Outlandish case mod ideas?
Outlandish case mod ideas?
What is your most outlandish idea for a mod? What would you like to do but find is impossible for you to implement on your mod? :onfire:
Maybe you want to make it look like a fire breathing, angle grinded monstrosity from robot wars or like a soft pink teddy bear from your gay brothers bedroom or maybe you can mount it on your Cousin from Brakpan's car roof cause if you place it inside the car, the beer cans rolling around might damage the MOBO...
Anyway you get the idea, whatever you can think of. Even if its just for laugh...
:stupid:

I have this idea to mount all the components on a thickish flat perspex baseplate, say, 4 feet by 4 feet, then hang the whole thing up against a wall next to your desk, with a flatpanel. I mean neatly mounted with all the cables tied down and hidden in trunking where possible. With a 9inch tapped bolt in the wall to make sure newton does not intervene.
i want to make a case out of titanium, just to say i have a titanium case.
and im working on an idea for a fibreglass alienware clone.
ooh ooh, i had an idea to watercool my entire mobo, on the back, like they do to hard drives with
the copper block and the perspex cover, then build it into the case so it's visible
from the outside.

JUSTICE, n A commodity which is a more or less adulterated condition the State sells to the citizen as a reward for his allegiance, taxes and personal service.
that's all good and well, but does it actually ride?
can you race your pc around on the racetrack?
WRT the story of building your pc into the desk, it's a research topic that's getting
a lot of attention in the area of ubiquotous computing and human computer interaction.

Trust whipme to bring up big words like "ubiquotous computing" =P
Anyhow.
skunkymunky: I can recommend a good therapist if you want =P
Although... I'm sure a lot of us have felt like doing just that (refering to hacking at case) to our PC at one stage or another.
My idea for a mod, which I'll probably never undertake, is to build the whole system inside a small bar fridge ^_^
That, way no more cooling problems =P
Obviously there is one major flaw with this idea being that at such temperatures you'll have a lot of condensation on your components and then... well let's not say it.

actually, it's non-conductive oil, vegetable oil of some sort if i remember correctly.
problem is that it's oil, and that means your hardware will be all oily, yuk.

I want to take a mannequin (the female version) build the Mobo into her tummy, put a heat extractor in that vents the hot air out her butt, on/off the nipples of her breasts, the cables coming out her ... ahem front. And maybe replace her head with a LCD screen or something. THE PERFECT WOMAN....
(Sorry if its too porno )

I'm also thinking about a mod that will house two PC's in one. Something like taking two cases, remove the left and right side panel respectively with hinges at the rear. The cases then would house two pc's in one. (Micro ATX form factor)
Cant think of many uses for this, just an idea that flew past me.

well you would have your dedicated cs server right next to you. There is a program called multiplicity that offers you to be able to control many different machines through one monitor keyboard and mouse without needing to buy any fancy gear.
