Some one please tell me why the hell theres a security code that you have to enter when signing in on the PC Format site ?? What does it do exactly ? I mean, you just copy whats written there, so what does it help?

Its to do with protecting the site from an "attack" whereby script is excecuted to create hundreds of bogus accounts. Now a computer will not be able to read the security code as for starters its a jpeg and secondly the digits are all messed up (so character recognition will be pretty hard). Now thats all "afaik"....

anyone wanna elaborate on anything i may have missed out....
