Timedemo Average FPS

How does one go about obtaining the average FPS in a game timedemo, and how do you run a timedemo in the following games:

Games:
Q3A
UT2004
Doom3

typing /timedemo in the q3a console doesn't work. it says "cheats are enabled" sv_cheats doesn't fix this.

The fps is already displayed in the top right hand corner, but i need an average fps.

well i just use fraps.

well, when no one bothered to reply to my post, i just googled a bit and downloaded fraps. I managed to figure out doom3, trial and error. Gives u the ave fps at the end ..very nice.

@Basipooh: thanks for the q3a commands, still have to run fraps though.
