I played on one of the local 'grey' shards once when i had 56k. It worked fine. As for people being ruthless, I agree, I've seen my friend get owned at lvl 18 by 5 Horde who came wondering through town. That being said, I would rather play on a server with a lot of people, than play on an empty one. I am seriously considering buying the game and joining my friend on the US servers. They looked awesome when i watched him play.

Yes. I've been playing it for ages on a 192 connection. I'm using an unshaped account though, so i'm not sure how it'll be on a shaped one.

Yo, can any of you WoW fundis help me out. I wanna know how updates / patches work. I am getting the game on Friday. Will I have to download each and every patch that has been released or does the latest one have all the retrospective / previous updates included in it?

Start downloading now. See if you can find a all in one patch instead of incremental one, it is a pain in the bottom. Not sure if there is a updater tho, might be only manual

Ok I've found some interesting info for everyone that has or is getting the USA version of the game. If your for the Alliance and you dont like being ganked in STV (Trust me, it can be bad) then you should seriously consider joining one of the guilds on Stormrage.

Stormrage is a pve server which means raids are planed, your free to do your quests without a lvl60 assualting you at lvl20 and even better no more problems with 10 mc raiding mobs camping blackrock mountain before they start.

The main guilds on Stormrage are south african so your raid times are also sure to be acceptable and not 3am the morning. Flame of Anduril and Awakened Guardians are just some of the SA guilds.

So with WoW released this friday officially I guess I'll see even more of you guys there. Unless we hear that the game has been *cough* delayed again *cough*.

Thank gawd Mr DirtyFrank is getting the eu version. I can see the LFG WTS /Y and GEN channels being spammed to hell and back. Not on MY server.... /wiping brow.

It's amazing, I understood none of Sojourn's reply. Maybe I am not l33t enuf. Anyways, I am getting the US version.
As far as I know, I am joining the Firetree server to join my friends. But I will definately consider Stormrage

I think I will be a human Paladin first. I like Paladins

Where are you getting your copy from. I ordered from budget, I assume we Suf Efricens are getting the EU version.
