just noticed that you want the minimum - not max - and to give you an idea my aluminium case side panel is 0.8mm thick - im sure they can cut thinner - but whenits really thin id recomend masking it in the areas where it gets clamped onto the machine otherwise it dents

that also opens up another can of worms since when the laser cuts the masking tape it actually burns it so the edges get blackened a little so if you are using a thin materal then you should be planning on painting it or chroming it or if its aluminium then you can powder coat or anodise it

i had to spray my silver case black but that suits me just fine since the extension im building for the case wouldnt have been able to get the same brushed aluminium finish as the rest of the case - so black was perfect for me

Does anyone know where I can get a tool to cut a 80mm or 120mm whole in my case for a fan? I think you get an attachment that fits in a drill that you can do this with. Any ideas?

Yeah, for the 80mm holes, use a holesaw. For the 120mm ones, use a jigsaw, or if you wanna spend R200 on a 120mm holesaw, you can do that too...

So who wants to make a mod using 32mm mild steel plating?
Cool, a seriously bullet proof (and vastly heavy) chassis that would make!

Thats the thing. I don't have spare cash lying around. I would really like to borrow one from someone in the Pretoria area. Is their anyone that has one that would be willing to lend it to me for a few days?

Sorry dude, I dont own one. You should try the jigsaw route if you can't come right. Better yet a post a pic of what you want to do and maybe with a combined effort, we can come up with a solution that might be better and you won't need to use a hole saw

They use different types and grains of sand. One can give you a smooth finish.

Go to a few glass places, some of them usually do sand blasting... Try looking around at PG or any glass manufacturing guys you have in the area... If they dont do it they should be able to help you out

Samaya, please write something like "These guys have AMAZING service and are VERY VERY quick to get your stuff to you" next to the Performance-PCs link.

I've had impecable service from Hank (The director) and i will continue to buy all my high end cooling/modding stuff from them in the future. My last order got to me in about a week, and that order was a $1050 order. I'm truely impressed.
