North vs South Rugby match

Post by Tel »

Did anybody else watch how the Southern hemisphere crushed the Northern Hemisphere on Saturday?

The final score 54-19 to the South, with them running in no less than 8 tries. Two of those went to RSA boys, Schalk Burger and Jacque Fourie. I was very happy to see that they weren't scared to play properly. The South went in hard, thumping the North out of their boots. It was a joy to watch.

Apparently the South were together since Monday, but the North only got together on Friday.

Excuses, excuses ;) So good to see the expression on Sir Clive's face......[perhaps I was imagining things...]

A hiding is a hiding....so sweet to see the north get a
right royal thumping.....I'd like to see a full-strength
South XV versus North XV match.

Who would you pick for the South Squad?

Pretty much the same as was picked on Saturday. Maybe add in Brent Russell or Jean de Villiers.

So you wouldn't consider a few of the All Blacks/Wallabies who didn't play?

Actually, I wasn't even thinking of them. What about "King Carlos" Carlos Spencer? Other than that I don't know much...

I was thinking that a George Gregan/King Carlos combination might be deadly on a dry pitch.

Joe Rockococo?
Doug Howlett?
Ali Williams?
Dan Carter?
Clyde Rathbone?

any other you can think of....if we don't play Mehrts we're going to need a reliable kicker to slot the penalties....
