Re: Wow players on this forum.
Damn yes Dalaran is horrible. I get nice smooth 25-30 fps throughout all areas and then when I het Dalaran it is like nooooooooo 5-10fps. Not funny at all. And the latency just shoots through the roof. When I go there I wait like 2 minutes for it to load before I even attempt to move around.

Is anyone else getting a funny tree shadow glitch?

Re: Wow players on this forum.
Yeah it was ATI only. Try downgrading to a driver that didnt have Stream in it. But I switched to nvidia yesterday so it was only 2 days that annoyed the living hell out of me.
The idea of free loot is very attractive. But on the flipside just see how many people are actually getting geared to the teeth without going into a raid that you spent a good few hours a week in is very depressing.

Woot! Got a rusted proto drake today. It was a long road with a lot of speed bumps. But we finally managed.

Call of the Crusaders opens a new boss for the next 4 weeks right? Also the Ulduar hardmodes will only give you the drake rewards until the final boss in ToC has been opened.

Ran the new instance last night, first time, received Hunter Epic Item.
Same thing happened first time I ran UK HC, got Drake Mounted Crossbow.

World of Warcraft Cataclysm?
And sounds like its a major rebuild of azeroth. But lets wait for blizzcon to announce the official happenings.
Re: Wow players on this forum.
Be very careful to what you take is true from that article. MMO-Champion's source is Something Aweful. Nuff said
While some of it could be true, Youll notice none of the other sites are touching that info with a stick yet

Re: Wow players on this forum.
The only thing going against it is that Blizzard said they are working on a NEW MMO and I think it was in the NAG or PCF that Cataclysm is the name of their new game.
But still blizzcon is soon so lets see. Personally I would like WoW to end with the lich kings death. That would end off Warcraft 3 nicely since it didnt really have a ending.

Re: Wow players on this forum.
Dammit, I must have the worse luck ever...
I rolled on Xavius, which just so happens to be on the Emberstorm battlegroup, which just so happens to be outnumber 2:1 against German servers.
It isn't PvP, it's being flattened against the landscape by the germans![Sad :(](./images/smilies/icon_sad.gif)

Re: Wow players on this forum.
Hi guys,
Anyone having trouble with the latest patch?
3.2.0.10314 - 8.15megs
Keeps throwing me this error..
![Image](http://mysite.mweb.co.za/residents/mwfellie/wowerror.jpg)
I have checked the permissions on the Wow folder and my account has full access to that folder.
I saw that the folder was 'Read Only' so turned that off to see if it made a difference. The patch downloaded successfully but if i try to run Wow it tells me there is a patch to install, 'Click OK, to close Wow and install the patch'. It then closes and the downloader opens and it starts downloading the patch again, only to throw the above error again...
Also, and this is a bit worrying, while downloading the patch my AV (BitDefender 2009) said it has blocked a virus from my machine at the following location. It then points to the Wow folder and the 3.2.0.10314-enGB-patch.exe.part file which is the currently downloading patch..
'Virus' name is Generic.PWS.WoW.5C82E7CB
Hmmm..
a bit more searching and seems there are quite a few people having problems with the patch.

Blizzards only response on the topic so far is to disable your AV while you download and install the patch. Not the best piece of advice i've heard..

Already tried that. No joy unfortunately. Still gives the error.DarkStar wrote:Right-click Launcher.exe

It is odd though, sometimes it will download the patch fully and then just close, but when you launch it just starts re-downloading the patch again. Other times it starts and then immediately gives the error in my first post.
*sigh* and i had a whole evening dedicated to Wow this evening.

Re: Wow players on this forum.
Quick update,
Seems two of the AV's (Bullguard and Bitdefender) have been picking up the latest patch as a threat.
Both AV companies have subsequently released updates to stop their scan engines from id'ing the wow patch as a virus.
My wow has now updated successfully![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)

Re: Wow players on this forum.
I used to really hate the idea of this expansion but seeing some of the things they are adding .. and the immense phasing tech they will need to make this a success makes me curious.
.. Could be quite a good if not the best expansion whether you want to agree or not. (Not basing it only on pve difficulty/content.)
