Huh
You're annoying.
Being a pain in the bottom for no other reason than just trying to prove a point isn't going to get you anywhere.
Walt clearly types faster than he can read, and most humans are fortunate enough to have been blessed with fuzzy logic so they can SEE THAT HIS PREVIOUS POST WAS CLEARLY A TYPO, AND NOT A CASE OF HIM BEING UNABLE TO SPELL A WORD.
To be perfectly honest, mistakes do creep in... particularly when issues are time strapped, which happens now and then.
sorry, but that is still no excuse. we readers pay money for a professional magazine and not a rag. want your readers to take your magazine seriously? use a spell check program next time. come on guys you can do better than this.

But does someone have to be an advanced PC user to use common sense? Even when I was a complete PC novice I realised when something was a scam. Yes, the longer you use computers the easier it is to spot scams, but some things are just no brainers.
For example, I just had lunch this afternoon at my parents' house and told my dad, who wouldn't know the difference between the power switch and the reset switch on a computer, about the scam with the cars for sale published in this month's mag. My dad's immediate response? "And people actually fall for that?" See, no technological mind necessary; just common sense.

Where can I buy some of this...how you say... "Common Sense?"
I think there's a shop on the lower level in Eastgate that sells common sense. It's pretty expensive though, so I'd rather recommend that you spend the money on an upgrade for you PC.
Skull wrote:@gamergirlz: So because the ED made a spelling mistake, PCFormat is now a rag???? Well then you should just go pay your money for another magazine.
No, gamergirlz (and everyone else) has a point. New systems are being put in place (like shifting the GEAR deadline forward so that the two mags don't run concurrently) to make sure this kind of thing doesn't happen.
Nicely put Ramjet, putting systems in place is one of the most crucial components in our business. When you do have them in place it is better to have competent people who can spell though.. or at least have the guts to press F7 for spellchecker..
Nice disc. Needed PcMark so bad. I can't real through all this stuff. My question is: Is the double-side disc here to stay and if so, should we expect a price increase sometime?
