Yeah, that was a huge mistake and one that won’t be happening in the future. I can understand a number of you being angry with what happened - we are sorry for the error - but some of you have over reacted just a tad. I'm not saying that you are not allowed to be upset/angry/disappointed but lets keep it at the error and that’s it please.

In short, it was an error that should have never found its way to the printers but it happened due to a number of things, and we have learnt from the mistake. We will include the correct pages in next months issue to cater for those that don’t have Internet access, it doesn’t correct the error but it will help most.

Try copying the installer to your drive and then run it. Sometimes it works but if not drop me a mail and I'll send you a new DVD.

Hi

I did and winzip/rar both tells me that the CRC check has failed. The installer also fails on the same file. (DemoData.big)

Erm ... which one is yours? They have "Project Red" by Byron du Bois and another one by Ulrich Ungerer. Do you belong to either of those?

Edit: Ah, I see that "Project Red" is actually our "Red Devil" one. Guess they got the name wrong, dude!

Yeah, Red Devil is more impressive as a mod, although I do like the look of the blue glow rather than the red.

Ulrich needs a light or more inside. It looks like long street after 4.

I picked up a copy yesterday.

Congrats PCF. I love this edition.

I LOVE THE COVER. Not just the hottie on it but the brilliant use of colour, contrast, layout and everything.

BRILLIANT.

So what if the pages from March popped in. ***** happens.

April touches down at last

Post by topazchyld »

Hey there guys - thanks for the praise. And we do again apologise about those four pages - they were perfect when we signed off the dummy, but the incorrect version was pdf'ed to the printer. We wanted to kill ourselves when we got the final mag back and were like, "What the...?" We also have our very own outsourced copy editor helping us out from the May issue.

Anyway - we're especially pleased with the cover, local reviews, a bumper crop of competitions and the poster, of course!

I have a quick announcement to make (I'll post something on the main page a bit later in the month). Three things:

1) The forumites set up a poll to vote for the May cover girl, and in accordance with the results - we went ahead and did a shoot with the lovely young Nadia. She looks INCREDIBLE. Thanks, guys.

2) In the June issue I'm running two pages of mod of the month. Get your entries in! I have loads in already, but we'll be picking only the best now that we've gotten the ball rolling.

3) We also about to do a massive broadband feature in June. We know you've all got your two cents - and we wanna hear about it. Cameron's posting a reader survey up in the next few days. It would be great if you all took part and we can publish the results in the June issue.

Thanks again!
