I have tried avg but it said that operation was stoped by user. I'm using norton 2007 and have no problems, but what i have realised is that some of the programs will only run when u run it as administrator, that is a bit of a shlep but otherwise thumbs up for vista cant wait for the services packs to come out so i can run it on my desktop.

just wanna know how it fares against XP. Haven't had a chance to read a proper review or this thread. But I'm only getting it end of this year.

I want the driver to mature and MS ironing out bugs...

I have occasionally just when vista is about to load the odd bsod. Never when the OS is loaded. Contacted the pople at ms help forums and they told me that is caused by a driver so I am waiting for update drivers to fix that issue. But it's not mayor it doesn't happen frequently mostly on a cold boot and then there after not for the rest of the day.

And DARK MESSIAH has managed to crash the OS that I have to restart bu thats it.

No other crashes.

Vista Upgrade Irreversible Tuesday January 30, 2007
post a comment : 41 total

Description
Now that Windows Vista has officially launched some consumer scrutiny has provided some invaluable insight into the new OS's EULA.The document, available from Microsoft's website, clearly states that any user upgrading to Vista from XP will no longer be able to use the upgraded copy of XP.

The Vista EULA, suggests that once a consumer has purchased the upgrade he will not be given the option to revert to XP in case, for example, he does not like Vista. The relevant EULA article states, 13. UPGRADES. To use upgrade software, you must first be licensed for the software that is eligible for the upgrade. Upon upgrade, this agreement takes the place of the agreement for the software you upgraded from. After you upgrade, you may no longer use the software you upgraded from.

Considering that upgrades will be a popular Vista migration option it is important that users realise how final a commitment their upgrade will be. Most XP owners are likely to wish to wait until a verdict on Vista is out before rushing to upgrade.
Is this a joke. Thats so stupid, I must never. Will run both

Wish I could share the bond, but I've had a couple of BSOD's already. Still more stable than XP, though.

Good Morning Guys

Ok here is my lil problem. I like my Destop tool bars etc being neat. But I wanna know how i can get all these apps that i have mark in a red box into a folder.

Where do i go to create a folder like you could with XP and put drag them into that folder.

And Why is it that the folders arent at the top anyways instead these ones Boxed in Red are cant you sort these some how.

Here's the pic.

Just create a folder on the Desktop, name it whatever you want drag it to the start menu hover your mouse over " All Programs" until it changes to the menu the drop it there and then just cut/paste all the programs in there.
