This is easy. I haven't modded for cod4 yet, but I will assume its basically the same as cod2. You will see that your map mod is in a .iwd file type. This file needs to place in the \main folder.
IE: C:\Games\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\main\
If you have a SP map mod (which I doubt) you run the game, enable the console in options, bring down the console, and type: "map themapname" w/o quotation marks. The map should then launch. For MP i'm a bit unsure, as I don't mod for MP, but if the new map doesn't turn up in the multiplayer screen, then just try the same as for SP.

I just finished the Game.

Good game I enjoyed it but I would say I like Crysis Better but Both were excellent.

k guys, want to do a server for my bro, me and my uncle who lives a few blocks from us...

now my bro and I can see each other fine when I do the "Start New Server", but when my uncle tries we cannot see ****...

now who can shed some light on what I need for this to work?

we are on ADSL with a dynamic IP (auto assign)... I have chosen "Dedicated: Internet" and "Dedicated: LAN" in the "Start New Server" options...

Just finished the game after starting it on saturday. Not a bad game at all. Very close to Crysis.

Heres my rating:

Graphics - Crysis
Gameplay - COD
Storyline - COD
Interaction - Crysis
AI - Crysis

Overall - COD with half a point because of a much more unpredictable and exciting storyline.

Just one thing that seriously pissed me off was the ending. It SUCKED!!

Can we assume that you are all running the same version (1.5)?

I just got the game and its awesome! But I have some trouble playing online. My ping is constantly 400 or above, and most servers have a max ping of 350.
And are there any local servers I can play on?

Or add them as Favorites then you can simple in future double click on them to join...

NOTE: Some of them have a new PB warning where you do the following to get rid of it - bring down console with ~ and type /rate 10000

I bought this game about two weeks ago (Xbox 360 version)....but only got down to playing it yesterday.....

Its a really short game.......I had completed it within a few hours (playing the easiest level though - I'm not much of a gamer)

Cant wait to play it online with some buddies ......

I added all hardcores as favorites and join the quietest one well, as long as there's over 10 guys.

Ok, once I join a server how do I add it to favs? Is there a console command? Ive been kicked 2 times now. I set the rate to 10000 now and I hope it works.

Hey guys, Having a slight issue. I havnt played COD4 online in about 2 months but tonight I went to go and give it a try after updating it to 1.5 of course and I get the problem.

When I try to connect to the server I get a "Awaiting Keycod Authentication" and it just sits there untill the time runs out and then pops up and says "The connection to the server times out".

I have tried to connect to multiple server internationally and locally and its the same issue.

My game is upto date and my punkbuster is upto date as well. Any ideas?
