Hey guys,

Theres plenty of these mails going around atm. I probably get about 10 calls daily with people saying that they are spamming themselves
Its pretty clever, coz by default some spam firewalls will white list your email, therefor the messages will come through
Best way to get rid of them would be to contact your ISP asking them to please blacklist your own email address temporarily, or ask for them to set the sensativity rating to a bit higher

If its a good ISP, they should have set up instances on the spam firewall already grey listing their own domains with a solid weight list for keywords

Anyone know what to do here?

I get an email into my gmail and the next exact email is spam. To explain:
The spam replies to my address to received mail.

Here's an original legit email subject line:
Burning Studio 7 - Only 6 days left for testing
Then next email (spam) subject line is:
www.ui-mall.com Re: Burning Studio 7 - Only 6 days left for testing
followed by the email:
Hey friend,

How are you doing recently? I'd like to introduce you a very good foreign trading online company and the website is http://www.ui-mall.com

It can offer you so many kinds of electronic products which you may be in need, such as laptops, gps, TV, cell phones, ps, MP3/4, motorcycles even several kinds of musical instruments and etc..

You can take some time to have a check ,there must be something you are interested in and you 'd like to purchase .

The contacts:
MSN: uimall@hotmail.com
Email: uimall@188.com

Hoping you can enjoy your shopping from that company !

Regards

Have you noticed that all those me-males say : "Please do not reply to this email. To contact ............, please visit us"?
"Integrity" and "integer" both contain a Latin root meaning "whole; complete." The root sense, then, is that people may be said to be acting with integrity when their beliefs, words, and actions have a sense of unity or wholeness.

Read my post above Tribs :D
Some of my clients have found that changing their email password helps. Are any of you guys using smtp.saix.net and receiving these mails? Coz so far, it seems from me its the custom domain SMTP's that are affected. Eg the ones that require a secure connection

Also, if your SMTP does require authentication try changing your port to 587 instead of 25
NB This WONT work on smtp.saix.net or smtp.isdsl.net

My gmail uses smtp.gmail.com and authentication is on, with port 465 on outgoing.
Will change my password. Rest doesn't apply as it's webmail that also has the problem, not just outlook on my gmail account and I never send from my gmail account.

I use Axxess. (they use Smtp.saix.net) and have never had a spam email, since we've been with them.

I see the latest fad in the spam emails(well first time i've noticed) is the order status (go to site now) emails.
