iTunes.. I dont even have an ipod.
It's cool if you are using it in conjunction with an iPod. But to use it without being under duress is astounding. What exactly sets this application apart from it's peers?
The new Realplayer ... plays just about everything.
Yes it does. Whether you want it to or not.
Windows Media Player 10
MP9 and 10 were the biggest let-downs ever. Resource hogs, difficult to use, and potentially lethal to you music collection (there are a few horror stories regarding licensing floating around these forums)

I have come across alot of good players, VLC, bsplayer, mplayer, media player classic, winamp 2.x - and the list goes on.

With media players, less is definitly more!
I'm not attacking anyone here for their personal preferances, and please dont feel obliged to defend yourselves, because I'm not out to argue - but dang!

Yeah, Windows MEdia Player 10 is hard to work if you are used to WMP9! But its easy once you get use to it. I cant use WMP9 after using WMP10 there are so more lil features changed, like when searching for a song in the media library. I also found that Winamp (latest fully registed with DFX) uses more resources than WPM10 with DFX! It might just be my f**ked up PC but thats what it says under processes...can any1 confirm this?

Winamp 5 is a bit of a resource hog if you use the modern skins. Just use classic skins and it becomes much lighter.

If you still dont like Winamp 5, version 2.9 was excellent - try that.

I was using the classic skin! Then I think it used slightly less than WMP10..im happy with WMP10 with DFX! lol..so ill stick with it! I dunno if Winamp has that feature where it upd8es all ur music and also finds all the info of a music cd be4 it rips it.etc WMP10 does and thats also very nice! Winamp does have a few features which are nice which WMP10 doesnt have! Hope WMP11 has them!

I use Windows Media Player 10, for everything except DVDs and other movie formats. I like it because it stays out of my way [@ the taskbar] while doing its job at the same time. I don't think WinAmp does that

I'm using winamp 2.87 myself, its a lot less resource-hungry than Winamp5.

Done... only slight change in sound quality... I'm truly disappointed. I expected something more... Anyone know any other DLs that make WMP10 sound better??
