The scores a really good......for the X800XTPE. Mine's a little more, except for the Aquamark which is about 7000 more because of CPU score...

He gave it back to the supplier and they gave him a new 1, and works like mine now

and BFG's dont realy have a bad history, so slap those suppliers around
Drivers play a big roll in these cards. I am happy with mine, they score quite high.

Running the latest drivers should take me close to 8500, so, no problem.

x1800xt better? NO way!

Post by Orph3us »

 How on earth can anybody say that the x1800xt even compares to the 7800gtx??

Howzit, and welcome.

So you're a nVidia fanboy I take it? /jk

Technically they are slightly faster, yes.

So technically they can more than compare to the GTX, yes.

Yes, I am. and I say that with pride, I wouldn't trade my plain 6600 for an x800xt pe so there

Well I hate to burst your bubble mate, but if so, that is indeed insanely stupid.

The worst X800XT Platinum on the market will run circles around your plain 6600 rig.

Kindly base your argument on reasonable terms.

Not comparing mainstream cards to highend cards again.

I know the 6600 sucks balls, I was merely emphasizing how much i dislike ATI. The x850xt pe cashes in at around R5500. For the same price you can get a 6800ultra which is far better, or even better - a 7800gtx which kicks all kind of ATI bottom!

Kartman, I mean Orph3us, you have to do some research before trying to start an argument like that.

No the 6600 doesn't suck, it's a very strong contender in the market it entertains.

But you can never compare it to any of the X800 range cards, their in a very diffirent leaque.

The 6800Ultra's are selling for much less because it's old spec now, the 7800's has been available for quite some time already, though were all still waiting for full availability of the X1800's, a whole month still, thus the X800's are still priced fairly.

Their prices will fall soon.

And shop around, you can pick them up for less than that anyway.

And again though, the GTX doesn't kick all kind of ATI bottom. Where are you getting this misleading information from?

Please go visit a few bench links, come back, and post again.

OK OK so I was wrong, I'll admit to that.

I say we split the difference and say Intel's GMA900 is the best(LOL).

It's cool.

I just got a nVidia card myself. Previously used ATI, and again nVidia prior to that.

Both are excellent cards.

No use taking sides, being biased only leaves you with 2nd best.

Sorry if this is a little out of context, but this seems to be the only place thats active at the moment. NEway, how far could you safely overclock a 939 3500+ using crappy jetram, I have a nForce 3 ultra mobo.
