Try and find some info on the Motorola E1120, it should be out late 2005. It has 3.1 Megapixel camera ect. looks very much like E1000. Also the V1000 wich is a clamshell, with shared memory of 256 MB, unfortunatly only 1.2 Megapixel.

Between R300 & R400. Cell C at Canal Walk couldn't say for sure, but they didn't have any. Maybe Cell C at CapeGate might have. Will check it out this weekend.

Why don't u rather just get a Bluetooth USB adapter or a IrDA USB adapter (assuming that the reason for u wanting the connection with your PC is simply to sync data/transfer and not to actually mess with the phones OS, in which case u'd need the relevant F/Bus,M/Bus data cable.)

I've spoken to the SamsungMobile support technicians regarding the former options I mentioned and was told that they both work just fine.

Check out: Cellink USB Bluetooth Adapter
and
Liquid Silver USB Bluetooth & USB IrDA adaptors

Much cheaper options that will do the job just fine in my opinion.

Hey guys

I'm due to upgrade on my contract soon enough, and can get the D500 for free. My only concern is whether it'll be possible to get all my contacts stored in Outlook onto the phone. I know the D500 isn't a Smartphone, but does it come with some sort of software to let me do this? I don't use my SIM card to store contacts as I find it WAY too limited.

Or should I go for some other phone?

Oops... I feel a bit like a dumbass

I answered my own question by doing a little scratching around on the net.

Mmm - sorry to all the Samsung fans, apart from looking good, there's nothing else that's 'good' about Samsung phones. Nokia, Motorolla, and Sony Ericsson would be tops on my list.

Nokia is simply the best when it comes to phones, and that's the truth.
I have the 6600 and it's awesome.

No idea, but because the 6600 has been around a while, you can pick it up at very reasonable prices.

In our company we have had nothing but trouble with Sony Eriksson, Motorola and Nokia. In fact the very worse service we got was from Nokia. Their product is good, in fact Samsung and Siemens, the two phones we use have the nokia boards and adapted software inside. Samsung has proved to be reliable and well serviced, the Siemens I use, SX1, just never stops. We rate moto as the worst.

I say Nokia is the best by far. We drop our Nokia's all the time and they just carry on working fine.

Weird that the D500 has only become available lately. Seems the D600 has already been released in Europe. and it has that all-important memory expansion slot...and a radio.

Edit:
AutoPage is offering the phone to me for R299.00 after me complaining to them that R629.00 was far too much seeing as you get it free if you're a new customer. You think I should fight with them some more, or take it for that price? (Weekend Everyday package)
