Hey, I'm for whoever is making the best cards. It just happened that for a long time it was nVidia. But until they release the 400-series, ATI is tops. Plus, I don't want to wait a few months for SA to actually get stock of the nVidia stuff!

Club 3D looks pretty solid... the reason they're cheaper is because they're a fairly new company and they're trying to compete with the bigger fish.

This thread is now redundant.

I am busy reviewing the MSI Big Bang Fuzion for the May issue.

Are there actually Fusion products available already or is it still in pre-release phase?

bit-tech review.

The board looks gorgeous! But it looks like that is where it stops. Poor MSI unfortunately deserves a massive fail IMO. :(

Ferrite chokes used to be used because they hold the induced charge longer, so we can only assume "supering" the ferrite means they hold even more charge. Or, something along those lines.
*sigh* :( I think my head just exploded! No charge is induced. Its to do with the relative permiability of ferrite (between 1000 and 20000) VS air(1) which determines how much it will magnetise within a magnetic field. This is physics 1, people! :!: (of course its entirely possible that its tongue in cheek and I am seriously sleep depri...zzzz)

USed one to validate my 750 i5 it got me 100mhz more than my P7P55D at 0.5v VCORE and got 100MHZ more.

BRILLIANT board but at that price its a bit too much to justify.

Nevermind the price, the performance numbers aren't up to anything.

The HD 5830 is finally out! It bridges the very large performance gap between the HD 5770 and 5850. I have looked at some reviews on the net and it does indeed fit nicely in the middle. However, the same cannot be said for the price. R2800 is the cheapest I've seen! Most sit on R3k. Makes you wonder what on earth the incentive could be when you could get a full 5850 for that price.

I'm sure a pair of 5770s in CrossFire will do the job... the 1 GB version probably isn't that much more expensive?

Do you even get a 512 version of the 5770? From what I see, they're all of the 1k variety...

Actually 2 x 5770's only get you +- 1000 points more than a single 5850

Notice the 4890 being faster than the 5770 too - So to crossfire 2 x 4890's would be quite a bit faster than 2 x 5770's

This is why I cant understand people choosing a 5770 over a 4890. Sure you get DX11 but how many DX11 titles are out anyway? Besides that, what would the performance be like if you played DX11? You most certainly would struggle to hold high maybe even med-high gfx settings, so chances are, you'll play on DX9 or DX10 and higher the gfx settings. That's what I would do anyway...
