I don't quite understand. How can he be suspended again when he is already suspended?

LoL agreed jamin, i prefer a few heavy rocks tied around his ankles and then throwing him into a river, which is invested with crocodiles

You need to understand recursion. Start by understanding recursion, the rest is easy.

It looks as though his suspension was suspended pending his appeal.

Perhaps in the ANC one can be suspended for several things, some of which one may appeal against successfully, other not.

:dontknow:

They seem to give more than just a second chance.

One of my colleagues thinks that the enire Makema affair is a smokescreen to draw attention away from scandals such as the Info. Bill, Toll Roads, Education in the Eastern Cape, Corruption, etc.

It is all in the words and their meanings ;-)

He was suspended as ANC Youth League Leader for 5 years. He has now been Expelled from the ANC Party as a whole with immediate effect. So even if his previous suspension is revoked - he cannot be reinstated as the ANCYL head. He is not allowed to speak on behalf of the ANC any more and may not attend any of their functions or gatherings.

Sauce?
Expelled from the ANC permanently or temporarily?

So the appeal hearing next Thursday is irrelevant?

Committee says ANCYL president must vacate his position, but can appeal sanction to NDCA

There are a few that call it suspension So I guess it depends on which article you read as to whether it is expel or suspend. Either way it was from immediate effect.

But did that shut him up? Nope.

Right!

So...
Julius Malema's expulsion from the ANC has been upheld
However...
...the avenues to challenge his expulsion have not been exhausted. The young firebrand's next port of call would be asking for a formal review of the process by the ANC's national executive committee (NEC).
This is getting more drawn out than The Days of Our Lives.

Maybe thats why they can't count to 1 being the times you need to kick someone from a club or orginization. I guess thats what happens when you don't learn your ABCs and rather learn ANC. What a mess.
