Say it like this:
(*mine*)
Idle : 24'C
Load : 45'C
3800+ Dualie at 2.4Ghz~2.6GHz, at 2.7+ it's about 6'C higher

I saw last night that it's not my memory holding me back, it's a BIOS limitation.
But I got my memory to run at 500Mhz DDR at CAS 3.
But wich is better 415Mhz at CAS 2.5 or 500Mhz at CAS 3, I think the latter as there shouldnn't be much difference in 0.5 of a clock cycle.

It shouldn't make a big difference. But to really see, Run Pcmark 04 memory benchmark. Restart your PC after every benchmark to get a proper score.Hman wrote:I saw last night that it's not my memory holding me back, it's a BIOS limitation. But I got my memory to run at 500Mhz DDR at CAS 3.

Also with that guide you posted, look at the introduction page, at the bottom you'll see a button labeled "print", click it and it'll load a nice printable page. Then simply save that to a file, or print it out.

Hey Cupis.Cupis wrote:lol
now wait been readingWTF is CAS?CAS 3
and molean that 49 degrees idle that is hot man!!!! for new amd chips ???
i don't know why you say not bad... that going to run at like 55 - 60 under good old stress???? that a little high???
in my opinion... better cooling then yes i agree!!!
It might not reach those temps under load. And Remember it's being OC'd thats why the temps are that high. But anyways, Cas has got to do with you ram timings EG 2-2-2-5 Cas is the first number.

Bru it's being OCed by 600Mhz, and it is a stock cooler. Also we don't know what DarkRanger's case setup is like. You can also take the weather into consideration. My CPU was idling at at 33 degrees this morning. MINES the new "cool" AMD as you put it and it runs cool.Cupis wrote:true but damn in my opinion that is still high.... this new amd... the cool amd ... nmot the hot amd????
that is high??? my HT was idle 45 went to 55 when i played games.....
not stock cooler if you rem??

I wouldn't run that oc if my cpu got that hot, I have heard of dual core AMD's dying at 65 degrees. I'd rather clock back a little, then get a new cooler. Then I'd push the clock again. I'd suggest he take his cpu multiplier down to 11.

Yeah fair enough. But he is'nt running a dual core. I would just go get a new cooler.Hman wrote:I wouldn't run that oc if my cpu got that hot, I have heard of dual core AMD's dying at 65 degrees. My case is under my table in some kind of "enclosure". Like those pc Desk stands. yesterdays temp was about 36C outside, and my case only has 2 fans. So all the heat it blows out is most probably taken back in because of the enclosure.Molean wrote:Bru it's being OCed by 600Mhz, and it is a stock cooler. Also open up you PC and try clean out the dust. I hadn't cleaned my PC for about 3 months, blew all the dust out the other day and the temp dropped 10 Degrees off my CPU.
