ps My Uno goes 0-100 in 3.2 sec. I might have changed a few things but that's not important.

Viceroy is a respected member of this forum and would not lie about something like that. He clearly stated that the settings are tweaked.

Any further discussion of this will result in death of a small furry animal.

Clearly stated you say, he said and I quote "Running 1680x1050 on Custom settings (Tweaked Very High)", now to me that means overwriting High with Very High settings in the respective .cfg files, not using third party shader optimisations.

If that is what you ment Viceroy, then I apologise I misunderstood you.

Ps Seems post count does matter.

May I ask why EXACTLY you think I have any reason to lie about this?

Let me see, because so far this is the most requiring game out, and your the only person I know who can play the game like that at 30FPS.

How do I take a chopper out with just a rifle? All I have is a assault rifle and dual pistols

Not easy to do. Best bet is to cloak and hide until it goes away. Better yet find a sniper rifle or rocket launcher. If you cannot do either switch to strength mode and aim for the gunner, not the chopper.

With a sniper rifle two shots to the top rotor does the job just fine.

I got this game on Friday.... Oh My Word!!!

Kinda killed me in the gfx department on full spec (dx 9)... so I'm gonna try put all the settings to High but on 1440 x 900 res....

ya, this game takes what you thought a 'Decent' Pc is and just laughs at it.
i currently have a 7600gt xfx card on a low end C2D with 1gb DDR2

it runs terribly.
but i will not play in low! id rather have slowdowns every now and then than have it look like HL1

I have a 8800GTS 320MB (XFX), a quad core 2.6ghz CPU, 2 gb Kingston 800Mhz Ram....

The game plays fine on everything set to max (0 AA though), but the ingame vids are like slide shows.... so I set everything to medium, but kept the res @ full (1600 x 1050) and it work fine...

and SurvivOrX is correct... even on low this games gfx is better than most others when set to high...

I agree with you there. Managed to tweak my estting to get it running fine on mostly medium...but like you say...the inbetween scenes struggle and the game lags a tiny bit here and there (Demo).

Heard I got the game in my Xmas stocking...so gotta wait till then to play. Gonna apply the tweak guides here in this thread etc...and try get it 100% for me, but if Im not happy....Im not gonna play it. will rather upgrade Mobo and Memory....then play the game. No point playing a visual stimulating game like Crysis when the system is not cutting it....IMO

There is definitely a point... You will learn alot about what is gonna happen in the rest of the game.... The fun starts once you get out....

I tried it last night, the very high system.cfg file settings. It does not look as good as High IMO, but there is a considerable fps increase.

Of course it doesn't look as good, but it's got most of the nice shader effects (except motion blur) and when you take into account the fps increase, it's a worthwhile thing to do
