On the mybroadband forum users title (like "Registered User" here) is dictacted by their post count. Between 1-x posts counts as newbie, 100-x.... you get the picture.

Like I said, useless, but wouldn't mind seeing it here.
Cameron and I had a chat about this one when I met up with him back in June 2007 - he was against the idea as he believed people would spam for post count. OK, granted, it happens here anyway... still not going to happen.

She already has her own posse (spelling?) lurking in the English thread.
I am afraid not - they bow down to only one lady - Ama (Stacey). So I would have to look elsewhere :D

Is it possible for someone to make it so that when a forum member posts a link in a thread that that link opens a new tab in our browsers? just so that we can keep track of the thread and still view that link instead of going back and forth? this might have already been implemented but im using IE so it might be functional. ha!

You have to do like the rest of us - right click and open in new tab.

This feature happened before the forum upgrade but was turned off. If you want to open a link in a new tab, middle click (click the mouse wheel) or right click - new tab.

Ron and other important people:
I think "The Ward" should be hidden unless a user is logged in. If someone is going to pour their heart out (yeah, probably not the best idea on a public forum), having a small amount of control over who can view it (as in only registered members) would probably be a good idea.

No. I believe that the choice to open links in new windows should be made by the relevant user, and should not be forced upon people. If you want to open a link in a new window, do as Monty suggested.

Have you finally succumbed to mental dyspepsia? How sad, The Ward is an institution, admittedly it has digressed from it's original, vaginal intentions, it still remains as one of the places where jamin is welcome, no questions asked. The two j's set this up ages ago (old wiz should have one or two memories as well) as a wealth of of information and help for the broken hearted who spent a penny and only farted, mmmm, I digress. This is where it all hangs out, where what does not fit into your mouth is a waste, where the sexy become sexier and the depressed brought back to happiness. Enough said.

Ron,

Would you be so kind as to put a View Active Topics link on the page that comes up after you have made a post?

Ron,

Got another one. Can we change the search function to first search through topic subjects and list them then through the contents of posts. Currently if you want to search for a subject it only returns what is in the body of each post. Quite annoying actually.

I assume you want to search post subjects only. This functionality already exists.

Under "Search within", choose "Topic titles only".

(That will be one six-pack of Foundry, please.)

You will get the Foundry as soon as the one on the top in the banner is changed with a tick box where you can select it to only search through topic titles only.

Dunno if this has been suggested or not, but what about auto-locking of topics that haven't been posted in x amount of time?

Mods could simply unlock a thread if someone wants to post in it?

But then we have to submit a request and they could then be difficult and make us jump through hoops to get the thread unlocked........

OK, I'm going to come clean here - I have an irrational dislike of this idea. It's not going to happen. Sorry.

Something I have noticed (quite possibly due to the move of server) but pm notification is really slow. I will get a pm read, reply and then a couple of minutes (sometimes longer) I will get a email telling me about the pm. Ron please make it faster? :P
