Next to "Updates" it says "Update 4" pressing that will update all 4 apps that need updating.

Re: The Official Android Thread, V2.0
Hmm, mine doesn't have that. Unless it's only because I've had two updates max so far. Perhaps I need to do some searching and see if I need to enable settings somewhere.

Re: The Official Android Thread, V2.0
Unless they are manual updates because of permission changes you should get that option. I have not changed anything in my market settings...

Re: The Official Android Thread, V2.0
Ah, maybe that's it. I think all my multiple updates so far have been manual updates. Which is something we don't experience with iOS. All updates there can be performed with a single "update all" button (and subsequent entry of your Apple ID Password).

Re: The Official Android Thread, V2.0
Thats one thing I love about Android. If a app changes the way it works say it now wants to access your contacts, you will have to do a manual update where it will show the change in permissions. Apple is currently coming under fire for loopholes and the way permissions work on their system...

Contact syncing is also starting to irritate me. I have my personal Gmail account and then we use Google Apps for our work email too. I set both accounts to sync email and contacts with my phone, but now if I update a contact somewhere it only updates it on one of my email addresses, and then on my phone creates two contacts and links them, with both the updated and the outdated information. For now, I've switched off syncing to my personal Gmail address contacts.

Yeah on ICS that problem becomes a real pain . I am going to spend Sunday evening cleaning up my contacts, hopefully after this cleanup it will work properly...

I also need to sit down and fix up my contact list. Facebook, Google and Twitter have all meshed together but it means that my google contacts aren't completely accurate. So will have to fix that this afternoon.Stuart wrote:Contact syncing is also starting to irritate me. I have my personal Gmail account and then we use Google Apps for our work email too.
