Not all of them.

Mine worked perfectly. And it was clean according to NOD32 4 latest updates...

One of the guys at work upgraded from vista to windows 7, got fed up with waiting and restarted the PC with 64% to go.
He had to format reinstall.
Hopefully his WoW was lost.

Other then that...no problems.

I've got to say the only thing that takes long with win 7 is the expanding of files beyond the 0% mark...

Well my Vista install finally needed a reload, so decided to try Windows 7 as my main Doze install, and so far so good. Running it as a VM doesn't give you a complete idea, so I'm liking it more and more... Will still only use it for work though, and will probably stick to Ubuntu for my personal everyday use.

If you have a problem with that, I'm sorry.

I'm sure that it is on a local server somewhere for downloading.

Ever heard of viral marketing?

If I can come fetch from you I'll post copies to two other forumites?

I'd like to think it's not that heavy on resources, (more like XP) but that's just my opinion of course.

It shouldn't kill the pc.
I still think you'd find the experience a positive one.

Anybody had an issue with right clicking Computer and saying Manage, which should take you to Computer Management, and is a shortcut I often use. Mine suddenly stopped working, just does nothing... Most perplexing. :?

Well, Win 7 has failed me dearly. I installed it, and it wouldn't even pick up one of my HDDs. It says that HDD has a "RAW" filing system (it's NTFS).

Aah.... man I hate this...

Only issue I've experienced so far regarding media is that it won't pick up the SD card from my GPS when inserted into my card reader slot. It just comes up with the format drive dialogue box, but the card works perfectly in Linux...

Otherwise all is going great, and 4 days back at work all my applications etc seem to be working fine under Win 7.

I am extremely pleased with Win 7 so far. Been using it as my primary machine at home for the past 2 weeks.

I've had absolutely no issues, and loving it more every day. One can see the work the MS have put in to make life easier for the general user, but not too hard for the advanced user to get to the good stuff.

A+

So far I've had only two issues. I tried copying a folder with a large amount of files in it (28 000), and the GUI froze. I had to wait until it was finished before windows responded again. And when copying a file and moving folders also made windows unstable.

hey guys

i just thought i add my two cents, i downloaded Win 7 RC1 on fri day :)
and installed it sat morning, inbetweem everything i installed whiole bunch of stuff
i never really followed on the Beta 1 so i dunno if my info is pretty much useless?

So saturday, formated primary os drive and made Win7 my new promary OS
first thing i noticed once installation was complete is the Driver support
it is excelent. I did not have to touch a thing, everything was working,
sound, chipset, lan, graphics was set to native res.
i did how ever download and install all the drivers from
my hardware sites. Just to get what should be best performance outta my
machine.

Second i installed all my usual apps that i use.
Gtalk, MxitPc, Mirc, Steam, Half Life 2 (fanboi)
winamp,ok there must be one or two other things there
that are not on yet, like nero and daemon tools.
Everything is working so far!

Codecs! who needs em :P lol, i did. Even though Win 7 does
natively support more vodeo formats i did feel lil paranoid about the
lips and talk sync :) so i decided to install VLC
player instead :) so thats also working.

Sorry this sounds wierd but i did type this out over a span of a week.
I decided to uninstall and found other codecs to isntall to use with
windows media player.

For those who use teamspeak, you will not be able to install it off the
bat, it shouts out an error which i am sure you can get around if you find the dll
file you need. I have not undergone this mission yet :) Daemon Tools im struggling with,
however this is and older version of th program :). Nero 7.11 seems to be working perfect :)

Thats all i really go to say for now about it
ill let ya guys know if i have any other problems

Only problem which really sucks is that whenever I copy any file from a certain HDD I have...I get a max transfer speed of 1.8mb/s

Dunno why...if I copy to that HDD no problem, but as soon as I copy anything off it...I get that speed. Very weird since I know the drive works perfectly..

Alberton and Boksburg are a ways apart. I am in Alberton (Brackenhurst) if you're interested.
