I'd rather it have a great engine for a stylized look, like it is now, rather than have it look realistic. We have enough realistic RTSs right now.

On a side note: Trust the PCF members to get as far as you can from a topic and turn the thread into a squirming ball of blam-and-spam :)

I actually think the graphics look really good:
No...no they dont -_-" (sarcasm over)

What strange person would say that isnt nice graphics... I mean it looks almost like Command and Conquer 3, tiberium wars...
The really cool thing about SC is while you may have a favourite race they are all so well balanced it really is due to player skill and familiarity with your choice.
Thats exactly why its the best for competitions.
blam-and-spam
Never heard of that before.

Watched the SC2 gameplay movie this morning. Awesom stuff. Nice to know that large armies is still the focus around starcraft 2. But the zealots looks a bit weak in the movie. The charge is welcomed though :P

The skill usage though sounds too dependant on good players to be used practicly. The motherships ultimate ability looks just too good for the moment. Thats gonna destroy an entire battlecruiser fleet. Wager they will just make it do damage :P

And finally.. World of warcraft a disappointment? NEVER! But the game has gone on too long and focus has shifted from fun to hardcore raiding. Just glad its almost over.

Hey man, don't stress--> Diablo 3 = Hellgate London. The guys that developed Diablo 2 are part of a new company. Check out "www.hellgatelondon.com", you won't be disappointed.

HMM been, dreaming about SC2 for a long time! Can't wait. Any word on the release date yet?

Nearly a month of silence since it went public. Guess the only questions everyone should be asking are this:

Is it done yet?

How about now?

...and now?

WOW.

Just watched the demo on the cover disc and... I'm very impressed.

One thing I did notice is that if you're a Stargate SG-1 addict (like myself), the Protoss mothership seems rather familiar. It bears some resemblance to a Ha'tak, and so do the time dilation (which did bring back memories of the series finale) and black hole abilities. All the more reason for me to want to go into battle with one of those screaming "JAFFA KREE" at the top of my voice, and then wondering why everyone else at the LAN is looking at me funny. :P

I'm downloading the cinematic trailer now, will let it run overnight and watch it tomorrow.

Haha! LoL Though that doesn't compare to the fact that the Protoss building that warps in air units is called a Stargate! :P As for that trailer, how big is it that you need to leave it overnight to run?

The new terran gameplay movie is out. Its only 655mb big. Took me a week to download. Best part is it didnt corrupt while downloading. But bad news is its only 10minutes long.

View time 10minutes, download time 26hours. Looking at these stats I am somewhat disappointed.

I don't seem to have that problem Image, I can download about 1.07Gb from P2P sources in an afternoon, so you can just imagine how quick HTTP traffic will be! ;-) As for trailers I've actually donwloaded 3gigs of gametrailers from GameTrailers.com, but that included trailers for Crysis, MGS4, SC2, Hellgate London and a trailer to see what all the hype for Halo 3 was about (overrated IMO)?

ISDN. Telkom doesnt see any reason why I should get 24/7 internet access.

So disappointed over the movie being 10 minutes and 700mb big. Also since hte protoss game play was 20minutes and only 250mb big.

Well in the clips I got the ones that were really big yet short were ones that were proper HD, which is the same for the clip you got: 1280x720 - 681mb. Though I haven't got that one, yet... However that does seem a bit strange, is it exactly 10min? :?

PS: ISDN... I feel for you! ;)

Your sig says Italy so your situation doesnt count. Its sad our infrastructure is so terrible. Just one of starcrafts features going to waste because of it.

As of 2005 I lived on the internet. I cant go without it. And yet I will have to learn how to not have access to it soon. Nope, I am not loosing the line but the data is too big for the bandwidth and cost restrictions.
