make them into security measures- atttach one to a 9v battery and a stick, then put it in your garden. Makes it look like you have a hitech laser security system...
Make them into a back light for your bike/car
turn them into a night reading light (red light does not affect your night vission, thats why military people read maps etc at night with a red light)

You could have sewn them onto a jacket and had a 70's dance outfit...would have been awesome
If you lived in Boksburg or Chatsworth you could built them into your windscreen washers/valvecaps/exhaust tip/windscreen wipers/aerial/ fog lights/air vents and of course door locks.
As a more practical solution, have you thought about building a BS detector?
Could be linked to a switch in your sleeve, so you can make it shine when someone's talking BS...like now for instance :P
