Price is pretty high, almost 7K, but it's pretty much the best 24" money can buy you.

I hate both of you...

But... From what I've seen the Dell does own the 24" market, so you should definitely consider it if you can.

Well where you bought it ?

Trust me guys. To have a big screen is usefull, because you buy a screen one more and use it for a long time. I have my 22Ich screen for 2 years. I will hold this screen for ever!!

There always new Mobo , RAM , Graphic Card . New every months.

The Dell 2408WFP is out, 2407WFP is last gen. The difference between Dell and other monitors is they use S-PVA panels instead of TN. There is a Samsung in this country that uses S-PVA and performs the same as the Dell after calibration, it's around R6k. I've researched this topic thoroughly, the reason I haven't bought the Samsung is they only give a 1 year warranty in this country while the Samsung website clearly states 3 years, I can't justify spending that much on a monitor with only 1 year warranty. Also, prices on S-PVA are dropping, in 6-8 months it will be more affordable.

Very, very good price, but 6 month warranty. He sells a lot of Dell monitors, I was supposed to buy a 27" Dell from him, even got him to extend the warranty but he got another buyer before I could manage to pick it up. If I wasn't so fussy about warranties on second hand stuff, I'd definitely go for this monitor.

I have a 37" 1080p as my primary display but I'm not that happy with using it for MMORPGs where you need to be close to the display to read the text. I'm starting to go cross eyed + it takes up more than my field of view.

in your research, can you tell me what the best monitor for exactly or under R9 000 would be?

The Dell 24" for under R7k if you can make arrangements directly with Dell. It has a 3 year guarantee. If you aren't fussy about warranty, the Samsung 245T is a lot easier to find and is around R6k with the same performance (sometimes better / sometimes worse) as the Dell after calibration:

I can't accept that we are paying more for it locally but only get a 1 year warranty whereas overseas they give a 3 year warranty. Fcon_Vpro's Dell with 6 month warranty for half the price would be a better buy.
