I hope not , Is it totally unreasonable to expect them just to make a standard diablo game , and roll out WOW 2. They didnt make starcraft a MMO. I have highhopes.

nope..schase wrote:do you have a photographic memory
i do, however, have a good memory for discussions, and recall having had this one moons ago...
that tjecco posted both was quite funny...
hellgate was diablo's sucessor and they blew it, while WoW makes for easy money, so, yes... rather they focus on one at a time and produce better quality product than scattershot everything and load the market with crud, (like EA's current stable of horse apples)...

And make some really unhappy Koreans. Which could start WWIII.schase wrote:If they spread their focus too wide I can see some serious low quality games being rolled out.

I fully agree , But . I think we can count on Blizzard not to do that. They have never buggered things up before and have always delivered the world most popular games.schase wrote:I also hope not. Furthermore, perhaps we should be content to let them focus on Starcraft 2 right now and worry about Diablo afterwards. They will give starcraft all the attention it deserves . Im sure of it.

Blizzard: No Diablo 3 in 2010
Further demolishing the expectations and hopes of Diablo fans worldwide, Blizzard has stated that Diablo 3 will not be out before StarCraft 2.
In fact, according to Blizzard's Rob Pardo, Diablo 3 definitely won't see a release at all next year - confirming rumours that a 2010 release date for Diablo 3 is out of the question.
"We always announce all of our games too early," Pardo said to TechLand. "I think it's safe to say that, yeah, [Diablo 3] is not going to be out next year."
Fans had originally hoped that Diablo 3 would be released before the spread-out release of StarCraft 2, the first instalment of which has been delayed until 2010.
Pardo goes on to say that the delays aren't due to a lack of resources, but due to Blizzard's deliberate approach to game design that means games are approached iteratively and with completely separate design teams.
"Now when we announce [a game] we just go; 'Here's the game we're working on, we're going to start talking about it and who knows when it ships,'" added Pardo.
