No Startup, Shutdown Noise

Hi I Have An Irritating Problem, I Run Windows Xp, It All Worked Fine, Until A Few Days Ago I Noticed The Startup, Shutdown Sounds Dont Play, The .wav Files Are Still There And I Can Still Hear The Preview Sounds. I Havent Installed Any New Update Or Software Or Anything I Havent Modified Th Registry, This Just Happened. Please Could Someone Help Me???

Start > Control Panel > Sound & Audio Devices > Sounds > Sound Scheme > Windows Default > Apply.

8O , formatting because the sounds "dissapeared" could have used system restore... if you did not know how to diddle with settinsg...but are you getting sound playback? like when you play mp3s and such?

He probably got annoyed by his current install.

I just reinstalled my windows. The 3G modem started to **** me off.

maybe, but did not seem to be else but windows..
anway
3g Modem, never used one... could be settings..as its always finicky settings on a PC, the registry is like working and holding things together with pres-stick..
