OC Problems

Post by Mow »

Guys , I have posted in some other thread about this issue. But the problem is now worse than ever.

When I first got my machine I was running 3.6GHZ. With 1.5 volts . One day the machine would not boot . Dropped it down to 3.5 and it worked fine for 9 Months running mem @ 1000 . 4.4.4.12. Suddenly one day about two weeks ago the same thing happened. Now Im only able to boot @ 3.2 and mems stuck on 800.

The pc boots and then gives a blue screen Not equal something. But when i drop the clocks everything is fine. Also it sometimes hangs in the Bios.

If anyone could tell me what the problem is i would greatly appreciated it.

Could it be that my PSu cant supply the voltage @ the higher clock ? I have a cheapy isonic omega 600watt PSU.

I might not be on-line later, but you can check your stop code against this page for possible resolutions http://www.geekstogo.com/forum/Windows- ... 43519.html

You might also want to install speedfan to check monitor your systems voltages. If voltages are much lower than what they should be it can be the PSU.

two new developments.

The situation is getting worse. It dropped to 2.9 ghz on saturday and last night i could not boot at anything above stock. And even then it failed twice. When i oc it boots and either hangs on windows loading screen or gives me GREEN garbaled display. ---- Any thoughts ?

No it won't.

Dude, clear cmos :) It's silly but hey :P

Also, your ram might be degrading. It's a steep slippery hill :(
