Car Sound gear
Hey
I need some options for my future sound setup in my car.
Not sure what car it will be but most likely a hatch (something with enough room for subs). The car I currently looking for.
I now need advice on the sound. I have at my disposal
2x 250w 8 ohm subs
2x 400w 8 ohm subs
Budget is limited. Can i use a pair of these subs? which should i use for a car?
What amp should i look at? Coast is obviously a factor.
Crossovers? Tweeters? 6x9's?

Rather get speakers meant for a car, the pressures in a boot are different compared to open air. You could in theory connect 2 of the 8ohm speakers together in parallel to get a 4ohm circuit.

I agree, it's overrated. I prefer JBL and it's cheaper too.muffinman wrote:rockford fosgate is not worth all that money

before looking at the sony xplod package - im sure you can get better stuff than Sony
if you really are interested in a quality system - have a look at this
http://www.systemshock.co.za/forums/ind ... =20603&hl=
can also get you good headunits and also amps at a good discount
this will fit into any hatchback including your Yaris - just need the headunit and amp as well as high frequency speakers - and you are good to go
if you want to listen to how it sounds i can give you a demo - also as far as installation goes - around three quarter of the job is done if you already have the sub in the box - mounting the amp is easy as is installing the headunit and speakers and that wont cost too much
