Is there a way of turning a picture into a hyperlink? (Not like , but where the picture is actually the hyper link)

man that sucks Dae, glad u found the kid and sorted it out
whats sad is that im sure there are more people that have taken your work and used it as their own

btw your new tag on the pics looks very nice and professional

@monty. AFAIK the closest u can get is using

Code: Select all

<a href="www.daejavoo.com"><img src="http://www.pcformat.co.za/images/blocks/email-y.gif"/></a>
or

Code: Select all

DAmn... My thinking was if the hyperlink was imbedded into the picture, anyone trying to copy it would have a very hard time explaining why their work points to the moding forum of someone else

man if there was something like that it would be awesome, but it would be easy to cheat

maybe if they made an entire new gfx format where after you've saved the image it is closed of permanatly for editing and a program saves its file with a password to edit (like photo shop saves as .gif .jpeg .bmp etc. and you can save the original with all layers and stuff as a .psd)

was it really necessary to mention this here? would it matter any less if you weren't a contributor to the magazine and your stuff was stolen?

Perhaps you should catch a wake-up GW.

There is no use in taking something out of context, and that is exactly what you are doing, it seems. Please stay on topic or shut your trap if you have nothing constructive to contribute.

Well, it was relevant. I only started writing guides so much because i started writing for PCFormat ;)

But yes, that was pulled out of context...

Errr... y0da, i don't see any "hormones" acting up here?

I posted something that was relevant and GW seems to find that info unnecessary. I don't see the problem. ;)

But hey, this thread has served it's purpose, so go ahead and lock it if you wish (no idea why that would be necessary though...)

Figure of speech...what I meant was - Is this going to remain peaceful or do I need to lock it? I don't like to lock threads for no reason you know. ;)

Password protected or not, what is there to stop me from just actually taking a screenshot of the screenshot and posting it again? All links, security etc is GONE...

Nah, plagiarism is a living issue with very little to bypass it except systems that verify that an item has not been stolen...

Lithe_Joint, DJV is an adult most of the time, and he can deal with trolls himself.

Oh wow, thinly veiled threats of violence on the internet. What a new innovation, GW!

While I usually enjoy your particular brand of trolling, it is wholly inappropriate for the techie threads.

Lets now leave it at that, shall we :?:

It happens, but if you approach the other party and discuss it can usually be sorted out.

I wrote a couple calculators many years ago and then found that they'd been used without my permission or even giving credit (even though in the source code I'd made a request for it to be done.)

Anyway, had a chat with the site owner and he happily gave me credit, and all was sorted.

Just make sure all of your pics have a shot of your arm and bangles. But then again, he might be able to edit in his own arm.
