DAmn... My thinking was if the hyperlink was imbedded into the picture, anyone trying to copy it would have a very hard time explaining why their work points to the moding forum of someone elseLinkX wrote: @monty. AFAIK the closest u can get is usingorCode: Select all

man if there was something like that it would be awesome, but it would be easy to cheat
maybe if they made an entire new gfx format where after you've saved the image it is closed of permanatly for editing and a program saves its file with a password to edit (like photo shop saves as .gif .jpeg .bmp etc. and you can save the original with all layers and stuff as a .psd)

was it really necessary to mention this here? would it matter any less if you weren't a contributor to the magazine and your stuff was stolen?DAE_JA_VOO wrote:Now, for those of you that don't know, i'm a writer for PCFormat.

Well, it was relevant. I only started writing guides so much because i started writing for PCFormatGreyWolf wrote:was it really necessary to mention this here? would it matter any less if you weren't a contributor to the magazine and your stuff was stolen?DAE_JA_VOO wrote:Now, for those of you that don't know, i'm a writer for PCFormat.
But yes, that was pulled out of context...

Errr... y0da, i don't see any "hormones" acting up here?
I posted something that was relevant and GW seems to find that info unnecessary. I don't see the problem.
But hey, this thread has served it's purpose, so go ahead and lock it if you wish (no idea why that would be necessary though...)

Password protected or not, what is there to stop me from just actually taking a screenshot of the screenshot and posting it again? All links, security etc is GONE...LinkX wrote:man if there was something like that it would be awesome, but it would be easy to cheat

Nah, plagiarism is a living issue with very little to bypass it except systems that verify that an item has not been stolen...

There is no use in taking something out of context, and that is exactly what you are doing, it seems. Please stay on topic or shut your trap if you have nothing constructive to contribute.

Oh wow, thinly veiled threats of violence on the internet. What a new innovation, GW!GreyWolf wrote:watch yourself little boy or you will be catching something more painful than a wake up...
While I usually enjoy your particular brand of trolling, it is wholly inappropriate for the techie threads.
Lets now leave it at that, shall we
It happens, but if you approach the other party and discuss it can usually be sorted out.
I wrote a couple calculators many years ago and then found that they'd been used without my permission or even giving credit (even though in the source code I'd made a request for it to be done.)
Anyway, had a chat with the site owner and he happily gave me credit, and all was sorted.
