Hey all,
I Just wanted to know if your mobo uses an extra 8pin power connector if it is possible to put in a PCI-E 6pin power cable, cause I know you can stick a 4pin in the 8pin socket. So 6pin > 4pin, is it possible? (Just to get more juice to the mobo).
What do you guys think?
8-pin power connector on motherboards
lol, okay not trying it. I don't have anything else to test it on though, but I'll check the mobo manual to see the pin config and check the 6pin power cable. I did have it in and it fits perfectly - but i'm not touching the power button
EDIT : Remember the HD2900XT? It needed a 8 + 6pin connector, wasn't there guys who just connected another 6pin in the 8pin socket?
where's Mike
