Otherwise any news of a possible mod to the new G15?

Okay, i just finished. It was all a great success
I drove to Samaya's house yesterday JUST to make sure i wasn't going to kill anything. I did all the testing on MY G15, so as not to kill Stuarts. I soldered white LEDs onto mine and the resistors got a little warm, which is why i went to Samaya (he's got some mad electronics skillz). As it turned out, the resistors were ok, all i needed to do was change the LEDs. So i started with mine, just to make sure i know what i'm doing before i mod someone ELSE's G15.
These are the stock LEDs:
The ones i used:
Nice and bright!
I then started putting the G15 together:
All done:
Now, you see the blue pieces there? I can't change those because the very plastic has a slight blue tint, and the white just emphasizes that. With Stuart's green LEDs, that blue is basically canceled out.
So that's MINE. Then i quickly did Stuarts. Green LEDs soldered:
These are MAD bright:
Started putting it together:
LCD's ribbon:
I'm busy typing on the green one right now. I must admit, the green is REALLY not for me, but it does look VERY good nonetheless. The white in MY G15 looks great, but i think i prefer the blue over them all.
My G15 is still in pieces though. I'm gonna paint it this week.
Anyway, that's it. You guys should see this in the PCFormat in about 2 or 3 months. I've decided to make a guide out of this.

Great work DJV. Your soldering skills are excellent.
I know you don't like UV, but would those buttons glow if UV was applied? Just curios .
Are all the LEDs connected in parallel with a resistor per LED, or are they grouped so that 2 or 3 LEDs share one resistor?

Thanks a lot for the comments guys!
BIG thanks to Samaya for helping me out on Saturday!! If anyone here has mad soldering skillz, it's this man! Thanks again dude!
Nope, i have NO idea who that is, or how to pronounce his nick
So, let me know how you want this KB to get to you. I can even ship it for you if you want
I SERIOUSLY doubt it. AFAIK, For stuff to react to UV, it specifically needs to be UV reactive, and i doubt that they made anything UV reactive in this KB. I suspect that the only thing you'll get are purple keys at bestLithe_Joint wrote:I know you don't like UV, but would those buttons glow if UV was applied? Just curios .
Every LED is in parallel, with it's OWN resistorLithe_Joint wrote:Are all the LEDs connected in parallel with a resistor per LED, or are they grouped so that 2 or 3 LEDs share one resistor?
OMW!! How could i forget!!Samaya wrote:Toe werk dit goed
