You don't even have it yet, but you already looking for better cooling.

I don't understand you :S.

O please keep in mind it has to go into rebirth, so i cant have it bring too big as it needs to fit under the board cover.

8800GT runs very hot because it's single slot. 90C+ is normal. I'd also upgrade the cooling ASAP.

This is the only one i'm aware of that's made for it:

The Arctic Cooling S1 fits, but doesn't come with any heatsinks for the power circuitry. The Zalman VF1000 should also fit, but has the same problem as the S1. Of course you could always buy some little heatsinks separately. Also, these two coolers only have 4 heatpipes versus the HR-03 GT's six.

The Zalman Fatality FC-ZV9 can fit the 8800GT.

Mine is just sitting here. I'll sell it to you for R200.

links to prove it fits, and look at the sig in the first link, the one guy is using one on his 8800GT

Sean - read in those links that KB gave.. if you turn the fan up from the default 25-30% to about 70% then you will be getting about 68c with an overclock...

so, would you really need it cooler than that under load? that's cooler than a GTS/X under load, with the same fan speed...

my 2c... 8)
