So what is the best way to cut perfect 120mm holes into a case.
I've read numerous posts of modding forums all giving different advice.
Some swear by hole saws, but from my experience they don't cut perfect holes. Some say press a piece of plywood either side of the surface which will keep the holesaw steady...does this work?
Can a perfect hole be cut without a drillpress? I ask because I don't own one.
I've even seen people raving about stepped and cone drill bits, but I've personally never seen one big enough to cut a 120mm hole. In fact the biggest hole saw I've seen is 92mm...not quite big enough?
I also see there is a dremel attachment for cutting holes...Anyone seen? Where would I find one.
Sorry man, 120mm whole saw (or closes to it as you can get, i think 112mm) and a drill press. Perfect whole everytime, unless you got mega patience to sit there with a dremel.
I'm with Sean on this one. The PERFECT hole size for a 120mm fan is a 114mm hole, and lucky for us all, you do actually get a 114mm holesaw. Use on of those and you'll have PERFECT holes. I speak from experience.
That guy that used to mod cases. Now I take photos. True story.

You should listen to that man
I did two holes for my case, being 80mm fans and the hole saw did it perfectly

Yeah, it's possible with a dremmel. I've done it a few times too, but it takes VERY long, and no matter how well you do it, a holesaw will always do it better and faster unfortunately.
