Firewall?

Hi. I need to use a firewall for internet connection. I want to know if win xp's is any good? What other free 1's are there exept zone alarm it screwed up my lon connection the other day.
My pc: atlon xp 2200+, geforce 4 ti 4800 pr, 1 gig ddr ram, 80 gig h/d, win xp home.

Yeah, XP firewall is fine for normal everyday surfing. If you need something more, and prefer not to use Zone Alarm, maybe try get your hands on Norton Personal Firewall 2004 (http://www.symantec.com/sabu/nis/npf/)

ZoneAlarm is great and if you dont know how to use it it may appear like its doing something wrong.

You can just remove your network form ZoenAlarm's monotoring... Then it wont hassle your LAN... Ive had it for a week or two {Thanks to recommendation by Psycho} , and Im AMAZED at what it does...

I tryed to remove my network from zone alarm but It refused thats why I had to uninstall it.

Try Sygate - there's a free version.

Thanx syfgate is very good and it doesn't screw up my network like zone alarm.
