As far as Im understanding you, the only techie people are the IT support staff and maybe a few normal users who know a touch more than the rest of the working, "normal" staff

I can always mail my aunt, and find out how many people she has working in the building compared to IT support

Well from my experiance from actual jobs I have been at it will always differ.
I worked for a hospital groups IT dep. There were about 12 000 employees end we were about 8 at the head office and each hospital had its own IT guy/gal.

On the other hand some companies hav an IT guy with 20 employees. Depends on the situation. Ok I must admit that the 8 was just the "techies and SUpport" there were a couple of Server specialist and so on. If you are looking at actual numbers Between 1:20 and 1:200..

Yes even Kongregate thinks I am 1337 !!!

seems to be a common trend, the higher the amount of people there are = lowest amount of techies...

reason at my work for not hiring another techie is because "There are not enough breakdowns to warrent it". Now I dont really work in a corporate enviroment instead mine is production, and if Production stops due to an IT problem you hae to A: get the problem fixed ASAP and B: Try to keep production running. Now if the telkom line goes down and we cant receive orders from our clienthow am I meant to do 2 jobs at once?
