@ Molean. It is actually strange the LED's have died. LED's normally last years and years, that is on of their big advantages. I would check if they were not oversupplied on the power, as that is more likely to have killed them than age.
I've also seen LEDs die, a friend of mine had a Vantec Fan Card (now mine) which had UV LEDs die, he got it replaced, then gave it to me. So in truth you do get faulty LEDs.
I just don't agree with everyone else about all the cables. I think it would look much better if all those cables were hidden. Still, nice work on the cooler
That guy that used to mod cases. Now I take photos. True story.
LOL ok. Look man, whatever floats your boat. If you like all the cables, keep em.
When Epiphany was standing on display at the foxcomp stall at RAGE, there were quite a few guys that thought all the wires looked bad, but like you, i don't really care because I like my mod, which is all that matters

Haha, remember what I said, but ja, each to his own.

LED's die because they are being over driven by a Noob engineer with no idea how to calculate the current flowing through a LED. The average LED should have a time to failure of about 50000 hours (conservatively speaking). So I think these guys from Vantec are buying CHEAP Led's that aren't really that bright and then overdriving them to get it brighter.
douglash, what I want to know is what performance / Temps are you getting after changing the fan?
I've got the same HSF (well, it's just an HS at the moment) and the fan is broken, I've wondered whether I'd get the same kind of cooling with a normal fan, or if I should try to get a Zalman Replacement Fan for the CNPS9500.
