SBSP's 30Min LCD MOD (8 Pics 56k warning)

Post by SBSP »

So I had an old and Ugly looking LCD, And did a real quick mod on it.

The Stuff I used.

2 packs of screws and nuts
5x12mm and 10x25mm

and a couple of metal strips bought from Builders warehouse.

I only had to drill 4 holes all together cus i couldnt find brackets the same
hole spacing 2 at the bottom for the bar going up towards the LCD panel
and 2 for the original LCD's hinge bracket.

And thats it
This all took about 30mins and costed a R95.90
All i still need to do is mount the control PCb(Up down , Power, enter)
properly and
add a cover for the back, so someone don't shock.

Or Mebe lower the LCD panel a bit, seems a bit high.

And this will be my LAN monitor, So i dont have to carry my heavy bottom CRT around.

The END
Cheers

Not to put you down, but what would be an AWESOME mod is to take that LCD, and mod it into the side of your case. Then, salvage a laptop's touch pad and get a min keyboard, and mod it so that it slides out from under the screen. and, viola! Only 1 item you need to carry to the next LAN!
