They once sent my ID book to the Vereeneging Home Affairs instead of the Alberton Home Affairs. At first, I was a little surprised, but then I could see how they made the mistake:

VEREENEGING
ALBERTON

You can see that those two words look almost the same. They both have an E, an R and an N. Easy mistake! I'm sure the mistake in your case was just as simple!

BEST news ever arrived!

I filed a complaint on HELLOPETER about the post office...
HelloPeter wrote:THE INCIDENT

I ordered some stuff online from a website and it got sent to the wrong post office, instead of Sandton city it was sent to Benmore, When i tried phoning customer services multiple times i only got through 1 out of 5 tries and when i got through i had spoken to a person named Bongi. She provided me with relevant contact number for Benmore PO but when i dial it theres no answer and thats even after about 20 minutes of waiting! I still have not yet received my package and it is urgent that i receive it, how could this even have gone wrong theres a HUGE difference between BENMORE and SANDTON CITY... And not even talking of the distance between two! Its horrid how things are dealt with specially the postage of people in this country!
And heres the response from them

So what happened to delivery to your house? Just a way to make it seem like they care?

Can the SAPO not have normal help desk staff that are not nasty over the phone! i was very upset because of all the screw ups made by SAPO and when i let the person helping me speak to the help desk and this person from help desk just started giving this person trouble whilst the person behind the counter did all she could to help me!

Hello justinth Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I will forward your message to the Customer services manager for him to speak to the Contact Center staff about this as they are expected to be courteous when speaking to other personnel in Post Office branches. Kind regards. Lindiwe Shilaluke Customer Services
CUSTOMER'S FEEDBACK

Mon 9 Jul 07

Utterly disgusted: on thursday afternoon i was called by customer services management saying that my package has arrived, i cobfirmed to pickup the package on monday(today) and all was good, as i walked into the postoffice someone helped me but then dissappeared, after waiting in line for 20minutes and calling we soon found to hear that everybody is on TEA break....soon someone came to assist the other customers but i was informed they could not find my package and they still looking for it (this already after 40 minutes of waitng) finlly i get someone by the name of Joe who tells me the package is not on theyre system..... is this how we must trust our postal system?!?! this is horrid beyond words.....
And yes i got my package

Hallo Justin

Tried to phone - voice message says you are not available at the moment.
Spoke to Ielgaam - she says you can keep the one you have and just do
a money transfer if you don't mind. I will enter the difference on the invoice
under sundry. The difference will then reflect on your customer number.
Should you receive a order confirmation it will be for the balance.

The mistake is actually mine as I picked but no one signed that it was
checked. If it is a hassel I will pay the difference.

Thank you very much for calling us.

Regards
Mada
